C-CAMP onboards two Dutch Medtech startups focusing on neurological disorders and cardiac health

Bengaluru-based Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP) has onboarded two Medtech startups from the Netherlands, positioning itself as a globally reckoning bio innovation destination. The startups are in the domains of neurological disorders and cardiac health.

The move is catalysed by the Embassy of the Netherlands as a part of its commitment towards bilateral innovation bridge between the Netherlands and India that aims to promote exchange of innovators from mutual ecosystems.

The agreements with the two startups were announced at C-CAMP premises in the presence of Dr Taslimarif Saiyed, C-CAMP Director-CEO and Anne Cremers, Acting Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in South India.

Aikon Health, represented by founder Thiru Kanagasabapathi, has developed a modular, skin‑patch wearable for heart failure and an accompanying digital platform to capture longitudinal vital-sign and hemodynamic data that is interoperable with hospital/RPM systems. The technology can monitor clinically validated digital biomarkers and send out predictive alerts to support medication titration and reduce hospital readmissions.

On the other hand, Alpha Brain Technologies, represented by Co-CEO & Tech lead, Mehrdad Seirafi, has developed a non-invasive, easy-to-wear medical device that predicts seizures before they happen, alerting the patient and caregiver ahead of time.
