Announces the Luma Hope Grant, committing to fund 30 complete IVF treatment cycles for eligible individuals and couples
Mumbai-based startup Luma fertility, backed by Peak XV’s Surge, with participation from Ameera Shah (Metropolis Healthcare) and Vijay Taparia (B2V Ventures), has announced strong momentum in its inaugural year, with its flagship Mumbai centre reaching break-even while recording a 77% self-cycle success rate, 120 ongoing pregnancies and 22 Luma babies.
The company expects to grow revenue by 30% quarter-on-quarter going forward, reflecting its growing patient base, treatment volumes and strong clinical outcomes. Building on this momentum, Luma plans to expand to 30 centres nationwide, with three additional centres in Mumbai marking the next phase of its expansion.
As part of its commitment to making quality fertility care more accessible, Luma has also announced the Luma Hope Grant, which will fully fund 30 complete IVF treatment cycles beginning with the first cohort of 10 cycles for eligible individuals and couples.
The initiative aims to address one of the most significant barriers to fertility treatment: affordability. By covering the cost of complete treatment cycles, Luma hopes to enable more people to pursue parenthood without financial constraints determining the quality of care they can access.
Luma aims to build a new model of Fertility Care 2.0, where technology enhances clinical decision-making, transparency builds trust, and patient experience remains central to care. Its launch of India’s first outcome-oriented egg-freezing programme, Twelve for Herself, reflects this commitment to making fertility preservation more informed, transparent and outcome-focused.
Luma includes RFID-based gamete tracking, which provides enhanced traceability and identification of eggs, sperm and embryos at every stage of treatment, as well as AI-supported clinical workflows applied from initial patient assessment through embryo grading.
