Investment will support continued product innovation, and expansion of CARPL's global partner ecosystem
CARPL.ai, US and India-based radiology AI marketplace and enterprise platform, has announced a Series A round of $10 million led by International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, with participation from Stellaris Venture Partners and other investors.
The funding will accelerate CARPL’s mission to help healthcare providers adopt AI in a meaningful and safe manner. CARPL is being used by many governments, including Brazil, India, Singapore, Spain and the UAE.
Through a single integration with CARPL, healthcare providers gain access to the world's largest radiology AI marketplace with more than 300 AI applications from over 100 partners. In addition to this, the CARPL platform also enables its customers to build, test, deploy, and monitor AI across clinical workflows while remaining vendor-neutral and infrastructure-agnostic.
The investment will support continued product innovation, expansion of CARPL's global partner ecosystem, and commercial growth across North America, LATAM, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and emerging markets. The partnership also reflects a shared focus on advancing digital health innovation through CARPL’s model of building high-skill engineering, product development, and AI capabilities in India for deployment to healthcare providers around the world.
While CARPL has started in the domain of radiology, which has 1000s of AI applications waiting to be deployed, the goal is to become the integration, utilisation and procurement layer for all clinical AI that goes into healthcare organisations. “We will soon move beyond medical imaging into the domains of pathology, genomics and general medicine, and one day, if there is a robotic surgeon somewhere using AI to perform surgery, we hope that it will be running through CARPL,” said Dr Vidur Mahajan, Chief Executive Officer of CARPL.ai.
